Spreading Comfort and Support: The Love from Lauren Foundation's Journey

In honor of Lauren Rose Kaufman, the Love from Lauren Foundation has made a tremendous impact by providing comfort and support to cancer patients in Westchester, New York, and Palm Beach County, Florida. Through the Foundation’s efforts, approximately 3,000 blankets have been donated to the Dickstein Infusion Center and the Lynn Cancer Institute, offering solace to individuals undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

The compassionate work doesn't stop here. In the latter half of 2023, the Love from Lauren Foundation has partnered with Pink Aid an organization dedicated to assisting breast cancer patients facing financial crises. Together, we aim to distribute 250 fleece blankets to breast cancer patients on Long Island, NY. Moreover, the foundation has established the Lift from Lauren program, providing transportation assistance to infusion patients, and they aspire to extend this program to other infusion centers across the country. If you are passionate about making a difference, the Love from Lauren Foundation invites you to join our mission.

Bringing Comfort to Cancer Patients:

The Love from Lauren Foundation has shown unwavering dedication to providing comfort to cancer patients in need. By donating approximately 3,000 blankets to the Dickstein Infusion Center in Westchester, New York, and the Lynn Cancer Institute in Palm Beach County, Florida, they have embraced their mission of offering solace to individuals undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. These blankets serve as physical reminders of the support and care that the foundation extends to those fighting cancer.

Partnering with Pink Aid:

In the second half of 2023, the Love from Lauren Foundation has partnered with Pink Aid, an organization that focuses on assisting breast cancer patients facing financial crises. Through this collaboration, the foundation aims to distribute 250 fleece blankets to breast cancer patients on Long Island, NY. By providing warmth and comfort, these blankets become symbols of compassion and understanding during a challenging time in these patients' lives. The Lift from Lauren Program:

Recognizing the transportation challenges faced by infusion patients, the Love from Lauren Foundation established the Lift from Lauren program in late 2021. This program offers free rides to and from therapy for patients who lack transportation options. Through partnerships with ride-sharing services like Lyft and Uber, and with the support of a third-party logistics company specializing in elder care and medical conditions, the foundation ensures that patients can access the vital treatments they need without worrying about transportation costs.

Expanding the Program's Reach:

Building upon their successful initiatives, the Love from Lauren Foundation aims to extend the Lift from Lauren program to other infusion centers in need. By collaborating with additional centers throughout the country, the foundation seeks to provide transportation assistance to a larger number of patients facing cancer treatments. This program offers a valuable opportunity for individuals passionate about volunteer work to get involved and make a difference in their communities.

Join the Love from Lauren Foundation:

If you or someone you know is interested in making a meaningful impact by volunteering, the Love from Lauren Foundation welcomes you to reach out and discuss the possibility of setting up new infusion centers across the country. By expanding their reach, the foundation can ensure that more cancer patients receive the crucial support they need, both in terms of physical comfort and transportation assistance.
